Nancy and I spoke at an international conference in London on the topic of dementia management. It was wonderful to be in an environment of such caring and total focus on people with dementia. We talked with many professionals, listened to several speakers and enjoyed learning about other countries and how different governments are dealing with dementia.
America is not alone, the numbers are exploding all over the globe. With the numbers growing, what we teach and preach as we travel the USA is that therapists and at-home caregivers can manage behaviors on a day to day basis. What we have found here in America and abroad, is that people just don't know how. It's a win-win situation when evidence-based dementia therapeutic interventions are applied appropriately. People with dementia deserve to have the opportunity to achieve or maintain their highest level of functional ability.
Please come to one of our seminars and find out how to care for your loved one with dementia, your patient with dementia, your friend or relative with dementia. If you are a therapist in a facility, come and find out how to be reimbursed for your work with people with dementia.
Thanks for visiting. We hope you will bookmark this website and check back for more soon.
